APPLY AS A RESPITE CAREGIVER

We are always looking for people who are interested in becoming respite caregivers. Most people find out about the program through word of mouth or through an advertisement. Safety and well being of the person in respite care is paramount. Therefore potential caregivers are screened very thoroughly. Once the application and screening process is complete, the application is presented to the Screening Committee, who determines the final approval.

How do I become a respite caregiver?
  • complete an application form
  • provide three references (including one relative and one who knows your abilities from previous experiences, if applicable)
  • obtain a criminal record checks
  • obtain a medical record check
  • have, or be willing to get, a First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • have a homestudy with a Respite Coordinator
